COVID Resource Guides - Cruiselab guide on resources from LGBTQ+ organizations and organizations focused on GBQT2+ guy’s health.

COVID Resource Guides

We know that the effects of COVID-19 pandemic and social distancing are likely to be significantly impacting the health and wellbeing of queer men.In fact, the director of the CRUISElab and lab member David Collict published a paper on the topic. In order to address these needs, we have released a series of resource guides addressing some of the main areas of concern for gay, bi, two-spirit, and queer guys.

This guide focuses on resources from LGBTQ+ organizations and organizations focused on GBQT2+ guy’s health and aims to provide support in these challenging times.

Check out the guide for info on COVID-19 and:

  • Mental Health
  • Sexual Health
  • Harm Reduction
  • Body Image
  • Community & Loneliness
  • HIV
  • Financial and Employment Support

We initially released this guide as a series of Instagram graphics on the week of April 27th. Throughout the campaign, more resources were brought to our attention by our awesome community members and organizations so we decided to compile them all into one document that links to all of these resources!

What kinds of resources has the CRUISElab created? This campaign includes a series of seven Instagram graphic guides and a clickable PDF of the combined resources and more!

Who can use the graphics and resource guide? We welcome anyone and everyone to share these graphics, credit, and tag us! We especially hope that LGBTQ+ organizations include the infographic among lists of COVID-19 resources for guys who are into guys, and YOU! If you have social media, share a resource to start the conversation about sexual health.

Who created the campaign and resource guide? The campaign was spearheaded by volunteer Brennan Snow and Eva Bloom.

HPV Resources

Did you know that #GuysGetHPVToo? Or that in Ontario it’s free for guys 26 & under who’re into guys to get the HPV vaccine? We wanted to share this information with the world – so the CRUISE Lab created our #GuysGetHPVToo campaign!

This is a collection of resources all about HPV, designed to empower guys who are into guys to be proactive about their health. We are also aiming to raise awareness around Ontario’s HPV immunization program, where many queer guys 26 and under qualify for the HPV vaccine for free.
